You're not alone in doing the mystifying red nose thing. There are several here on DA who do it, and I don't understand why it's done. Noses are normal flesh tone usually, and the additional redness gives a character the appearance of being fraught with a cold, overly intoxicated, or having been punched or injured. At least IMHO. I don't usually speak up about such things, but "mystery red nose" shows up so often that I'm now looking for the reasons it's done.
I don't intend to offend, I just want to know the philosophy behind it.
I know, but like I said it's a matter of style. Or do you think normal people would really have those boobs and anatomy? Just saying. Plus, shadowing the nose (not only the nose, but the whole skin) with a dark brown (darkening the skin tone) would look lifeless and more like she have been punched. You can try it. Looks like an injury.
